Here is one of my most recent jewelry creations, and maybe the last one I make for a while.
As we near the end of June, another year is half over. I have decided that maybe it is time for a break from my jewelry shop, at least for a while. I opened my Etsy shop in July of 2011, so I am coming up on my five year anniversary. The last few months have been fairly slow in my shop, and I spend so much time checking stats, updating, titles, trying to figure out SEO, etc. There are so many other talented jewelry artisans on Etsy, and elsewhere, its hard to get out there and be seen, and convince a shopper to buy from you. Are my tags okay? Are my prices too high? Too low? Is my jewelry not good enough? Should I pay to promote my shop? Should I do this, do that? I just don't know anymore. What I do know, is that I love to make things. I think I just need to take a break from jewelry, and make other things. There are so many cool projects on Pinterest I want to try, especially with Mason jars! I am a year behind on my scrapbooks, I need to sit down and work on those. Scrapbooking used to be my one big addiction, but jewelry slowly took over. I discovered an online bead shop, I believe it was Artbeads, and it was all over after that! Here is my very first jewelry creation:
A personalized Swarovski bracelet with sterling silver beads, spelling out the names of my children. The crimp job is horrible! I'm surprised it has lasted this long.
So I won't be adding any new items in my shop for a while, but there are plenty there to choose from! And to celebrate my five year anniversary, and just because it's July, I will be having a Christmas in July sale. Most items will be 25% percent off, starting July 1, 2016, running through July 15, 2016. Be sure to check it out!
