Marching Band Season

Four years ago, I was introduced to the world of High School Marching Band.  My son was a freshman and signed up for marching band as one of his classes.  Silly me, I thought they would just play at Friday night home football games, no big commitment.  WRONG!  Not only did the band march at the football games, they also went to competitions around the state, so every Saturday in October, as well as the occasional Saturday in September and November, was spent driving at least an hour away to watch my son march for a total of 15 minutes.  After the adjustment period that first fall, I became a proud "BAND MOM."  Fundraisers for new uniforms, the marching festival at the high school, competitions, games,  I was there, cheering the band on.  My son graduated from high school this fall, and auditioned for and made the Michigan State University Spartan Marching Band!  At the same time, my daughter is now a freshman in high school, and is also in the marching band.  Needless to say, between MSU football games and high school football games/marching competitions, I am still a busy Band Mom!  I decided to make up some resin pendants for those other band moms out there, as well as the band members themselves, so I came up with these, all available in my Etsy shop:

(Oh, and here's a pic of me with my son:)
