Fused Glass

One of my Christmas presents from my DH was a SpeedFire Mini Electric Kiln. I tried it out for the first time this weekend, making some fused glass pendants. Here's one of my first attempts:

First Craft Show

So I had my first craft show this weekend. It went okay, but I waited too long to put in my application, so I was way at the end of a hallway and didn't get much traffic. It was fun though, especially with my BFF Lisa hanging with me! Here's a picture of my display when I set it up the day before:

Copper Patina

The past month or so I've been experimenting with different types of patina. I first tried using liver of sulfur, but the results were not as bright as I wanted. Then I splurged and bought a micro torch, to try making my own ball pins, and see the patina effects of heating copper. I've been having lots of fun with it! I love the rainbow colors. I don't know if they will last though, I may try sealing?
